Our Friends

Quick update: Marriage is awesome. I am so happy to be married to Matthew and glad that we started out our marriage the right way by being sealed in the temple! What a beautiful day it was!

After the wedding, we had a beautiful backyard reception in Portland and then spent almost a week in a beach house on the Oregon coast before road-tripping to Montana for our second reception, which was also just perfect. 

Then we drove to our new home and had a week to move in before getting painfully snapped back to reality with the start of a new semester! 

Focusing on the positive though, we have a great apartment. It is the main floor apartment of a home rented out by an older couple that rarely visit. When people ask, I just tell them I live in a barn with a blue roof. 

We have a nice big kitchen and backyard that we love! One of my favorite parts of the backyard are our horse friends! James named two of the three. The spotted one is Stewart and the black one is Albert. (like Fat Albert because she loves to eat) The third horse is not pictured, but he is just dark brown.

I make sure we always have a good amount of carrots in our fridge to share with our friends. Matthew and I laugh so hard because Albert gets so impatient when we have food in our hands that aren't making their way to her mouth that she starts to turn her head sideways trying to eat it. It never works, but it makes for a good laugh. 

Laughs are one thing that we have a lot of at our house and it is great. Life is good.
